Motherboard Removal

1. Turn off and unplug the game.

2. Unlock and open the rear door.

3. Lift the spring-loaded pin (see Figure 1) and carefully slide the CPU shelf out from the game

and into its service position.

4. Use the 

Motherboard Diagrams

 section to determine the board type in your game, then dis-

connect all connections to the board.

5. Motherboard Removal:

Mitsubishi

:

Remove the 2 screws securing the motherboard assembly to the shelf and the 2 screws hold-
ing the 2 standoffs that are mounted to the shelf.  After removing the standoffs, remove the
board and insert it into an anti-static bag for storage.  NOTE:  Be sure to read the Motherboard
Handling Precautions before handling the board.

Unicorn

:

Remove the standoff securing one support bracket to the motherboard and the standoff secur-
ing the other support bracket to the audio board.  Then disconnect the audio board and remove
the remaining standoff securing the motherboard to the game and remove the board.  Insert
the board into an anti-static bag for storage.  NOTE:  Be sure to read the Motherboard Han-
dling Precautions before handling the board.

Motherboard Installation

1. Motherboard Installation:

Mitsubishi

:

Place the new motherboard in the game, then attach the 2 standoffs to the shelf and attach the
2 screws to the standoffs.  Then replace the 2 screws fastening the motherboard to the shelf.

Unicorn

:

Place the new motherboard in the game and fasten the board to the game with the standoff.
After connecting the audio board, replace the standoffs fastening the support brackets to the
audio board and the motherboard.

2. Reconnect all connections to the motherboard.

3. Slide the CPU shelf back into the game until the spring-loaded pin clicks in place.

4. Close and lock the rear door.

5. Plug in and turn on the game.
